About Backup Rings
Backup rings prevent O-ring extrusion into the clearance gap under high pressure. Install them on the low-pressure side of the O-ring. Made of Buna-N, these backup rings resist grease, petroleum fluids, and motor oil. Use them to extend the life of your O-rings and improve their performance in high-pressure applications.
