Silicone O-rings offer an exceptional temperature range of -100°F to +450°F (-73°C to +232°C) with excellent flexibility at low temperatures. They are FDA-compliant for food and beverage contact, resistant to ozone, UV, and weathering. Silicone is ideal for medical devices, food processing equipment, ovens, and appliances. However, they have lower tensile strength and poor resistance to petroleum oils and hydraulic fluids.
